Laura Marie Marano is an American actress, singer, songwriter and model.

She has appeared in the shows Without a Trace and Back to You, in both instances playing the daughter of the lead characters. She is Vanessa Marano's younger sister and is currently eighteen years old. She stars as Ally Dawson on the Disney Channel's Original Series Austin & Ally. Laura Marano started acting in the theatre when she was 5 years old and she has done numerous plays at the Agoura Children's Theatre, and continued her acting in many national commercials. She is a very talented girl and almost always replies to any tweet she gets on her Twitter account. She also plays in an upcoming DCOM in 2015 called Bad Hair Day.


Laura Marano stars as Ally, a multi-talented singer and song-writer, who began her career writing for singing sensation Austin Moon and has become a star in her own right, in the Disney Channel comedy series “Austin & Ally.” The series, entering its fourth season of production in fall 2014, ranked #1 among Tweens 9-14 for 2014 and #2 among Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11.

Marano began her acting career at the age of five, performing in numerous plays at the Agoura Children’s Theatre. Parlaying her love of performing onto the small screen, she then appeared in national commercials for companies, including Wendy’s and Burger King.

She guest starred in a number of television series, including “Heroes,” “Children’s Hospital,” “Flash Forward,” “Little Monk,” “Medical Investigation,” “Huff” and “Joan of Arcadia.” Additionally, she had recurring roles on “Without A Trace” and “The Sarah Silverman Program” and was a series regular on “Back to You” and the game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

On the big screen, Marano voiced characters in the animated features “Finding Nemo” and “Ice Age: The Meltdown.” She also appeared in the George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh produced film, “The Jacket,” as well as Judd Apatow’s “Superbad.” She will star in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Bad Hair Day,” premiering in February 2015.

In August 2013, Marano was named the 2013 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Ambassador, in which she will advocate, educate and fundraise for the original Kids Helping Kids campaign to aid children around the world.

Born November 29, 1995, Marano, the younger of two siblings, has many hobbies, including soccer, piano, hip-hop, tap dancing and singing. She considers reading and writing songs her most favorite pastimes. Marano has an adventurous spirit and especially enjoys traveling.
